Holiday Activities

Dreamwidth has many activities for fall and winter holidays.  In particular, there"s a lot of Yule / Christmas stuff, and most fests for that will start in fall to give people time to write or draw their contribution.  I just saw an announcement for the Yuletide schedule so I decided to post about this now.  If you're interested in seasonal fests, watch [community profile] fandomcalendar where most get announced.  [site community profile] dw_community_promo is also worth checking for seasonally active communities.

Three Weeks for Dreamwidth

Watch for the upcoming event Three Weeks for Dreamwidth, running April 25-May 15. Folks post content only visible on Dreamwidth, and there are usually memes and other activities too. Mark your calendars!

This year I'm planning to focus on questions and questionnaires as a means of building community. That'll create a few good anchor posts along with the daily question posts.

If anyone else wants to make or copy their Three Weeks posts here, anything on the subject of leaving unsatisfactory platforms or how to get started in Dreamwidth (and related things like how to build community in your blog) is welcome.

Share your after-holiday ideas in your Dreamwidth journal.  Watch your reading page for other good posts, then comment on them and link to them on your blog.  When you talk about things that lots of folks are doing at the same time, that increases your chance of audience interaction.
